The Earth School PAC Presents... Why Aren’t NYC Public Schools Fully Funded? With Robert Jackson

  • The Earth School (Auditorium) 600 East 6th Street New York, NY, 10009 United States (map)

Robert Jackson was a District 6 School

Board President when he launched the Campaign for Fiscal Equity school funding lawsuit in 2006. NYS’s highest court ruled that $5.5 billion must be committed for NYS and NYC public schools but this has yet to be fulfilled.

Ten years later, Jackson walked 150 miles to Albany to highlight the cause, and in November, he ran for NYS Senate and won through the grassroots efforts of parent groups.
